From Pop-Up to Showroom
We first arrived on the scene in Dubai with a pop-up store within Iwan Maktabi at Al Serkal Avenue. The response was overwhelming and it was clear that there was a real appetite for what we do; traditional yet contemporary pieces with a refined focus on craftsmanship and materials. It was the perfect opportunity to test the market and meet our customers face to face to get their feedback on what they would like to see more of. So we set to work searching for the right location for our first bricks and mortar store which we opened in August this year. Our New Showroom is housed within Goshi Warehouses in Al Quoz 3 and boasts a generous 1,600 square meter of space. As you enter, you are greeted by Lydia and Diana who are here to help you wander through our showroom.
What You Can Find in Our Showroom
To your right is the seating area where you can take a break after a spot of shopping. On the first floor, you will find our collection of clothing, from abayas, dresses, jellabas, coats and jackets and much more.
On your left as you enter is where you will find an edited collection of homewares including cushions, throws, bespoke wall art and tableware as well as some lovely gift ideas such as delicate artisan soaps and luxurious handmade candles. Further into the store there is an extensive range of furniture on display including, sofas, dining tables, sideboards and coffee mother of pearl tables; perfect if you are looking for that statement piece for your home. And finally, no visit to Orient 499 would be complete without taking away one of our signature pieces; whether it’s one of our beautifully hand-crafted dresses or an intricately detailed set of glasses, we’re sure you’ll find something special to take home with you.
